Centrifuge & Decanter System

Basic Centrifuge

The operating principle of a decanter centrifuge is based on gravitational separation. Naturally, a component with a higher density would fall to the bottom of a mixture, while the less dense component would be suspended above it. A decanter centrifuge increases the rate of settling through the use of continuous rotation, producing a gravitational force between 1000 to 4000 times that of normal gravitational force. This reduces the settling time of the components by a large magnitude, whereby mixtures previously having to take hours to settle can be settled in a matter of seconds using a decanter centrifuge. This form of separation enables more rapid and controllable results.

Decanter Centrifuge

This is an open, non-pressurized horizontal decanter centrifuge. It features a solid horizontal bowl and scroll type conveyor, with counter current flow design. The centrifuge is designed and built to operate continuously at a standard operating bowl speed of 5300 rpm. All parts of the centrifuge in contact with the process material are made of SS 316 material except the O-rings, seals, feed tube and abrasion resistant materials. Process seals, other O-rings and seals are made of nitrile rubber, unless otherwise specified. The feed tube is comprised of stainless Steel

Industries We Serve

Standalone centrifuges for drying (hand-washed) clothes – usually with a water outlet.
