Water Treatment Plants

Water treatment is any process that improves the quality of water to make it more acceptable for a specific end-use. The end use may be Drinking, Industrial Water requirement etc. Water Treatment removes contaminants and undesirable components, or reduces their concentration so that the water becomes fit for its desired end-use.

We offer entire technology to treat any type of Water to achieve desired state of purification. The system can consists of simple Clarification and Filtration for Filtered Water requirement, to Two Pass RO followed by EDI System for Ultra Pure Water, where the desired quality of Treated Water will be in the range of 12-16 Mega Ohm of Resistivity.
Industries that we serve

Main impurities in the water can be broadly classified as

  • Un Dissolved Suspended Solids
  • Dissolved Salts
  • Dissolved Gases
  • Other Impurities

Water Treatment Plants typically consist of : Collection, Screening and Straining, Chemical Addition, Coagulation and Flocculation, Sedimentation and Clarification, Filtration, Disinfection, Demineralisation either by Ion Exchange Resin Process or Membrane Process, both in single stage or multiple stages or Combination of both, and Storage

  • Un Dissolved Suspended Solids : This is commonly known as Turbidity. The Turbidity in the water ranges very widely from as high as 50,000 to 60,000 ppm in river water to almost zero in Underground Borewell waters. The Turbidity can deposit on heating surfaces or on Strainers, Resin beds, RO Membranes etc and cause clogging. The Turbidity removal is achieved by Settling, Clarification and Filtration. In case the Turbidity is very high(over 2000 PPM), all the three methods may be used and in case the turbidity is low(less than 50 PPM), only Filtration may suffice.
  • Dissolved Solids : Salts when dissolved in water forms positively charges Cations and negatively charged Anions. The most commonly found Cations are Calcium, Magnesium, Sodium, Potassium, Iron etc. The most commonly found Anions are Bicarbonate, Chlorides, Sulphates, Nitrates etc
  • Dissolved Gases : Normally, contaminant gases in water are Oxygen, Carbon Dioxide, Hydrogen Sulphide, Methane etc
  • Other Impurities : This includes Micro Biological growths, Silica, Colour, Oil etc
